Mosey Burns
This summer for some reason I started thinking about NewFoundland, when I was a 5 year old that is where my father was stationed...I remember being there during the Cuban Missle Crisis and the day President Kennedy was shot...I will have to share some of those memories later. Well suddenly I thought about Mosey Burns, I guess he was a homeless man, I remember all of us kids were scared of him and some other Newfie...we called Jimmy Pluck Pluck...I had stitches in my ear because of Jimmy Pluck Pluck but that is another story too. I remember Mose Burns coming to our house and going to the backdoor and my mother would give him something to eat. Usually home made bread...she was on a roll with that. I think we had a wood burning stove. Which is yet another story. Anyway I google Mosey Burns, and someone actually wrote a ballad about him....How bizarre is that I am now 53 years old , and just discovered Mosey Burns was such a character, he has a ballad.

Mimi as a child
Well Scott scanned pictures of Mimi as a girl so, I am posting them so you can see them. I miss you girls so much and now that is almost time for your birthdays I am very sad, because last fall we had so much fun having them here and making cakes and pinyatas and castles. This year Zi Zi has her first birthday as well...you have to tell Mimi what you are in to I understand Lena likes dragons now, and Bailee likes Mickey Mouse and what about Machaira and Zi Zi ? ?
Anyway the first one I am about a year old I guess , and the second one, I think 7th grade and the last uhm 5o...or so...miss you all so so much ...MiMi

Well , the three princesses were here at MiMi's house. They had so much fun playing with the yellow ducks, chasing bugs, shooting squirt guns and running those cars into the fence. Oh, yes and of course there were hours of playing Barbies, and temporary tatoos. I think the shining moment is when we did our belly dancing with the sparklers, and when Holly rode the Barbie car around the yard. I guess as I blog tonight you baby girls are resting your little heads somewhere around El Paso, Texas and then on to 29 Palms. What Little gypsies you have become. I can not wait until you settle and get all your things back...like your pink kitchen you will feel like it is Christmas again. You have been such brave little travelers. Bailee is coming tommorow and we are so excited, she will help us with the void we have in our hearts that your leaving left. You know Bailee Boo when she arrives it is a party. She is going to Disney World too, so that will be a great time for her. All my little baby girls are military Brats now...three Navy and one Marine.
As much as I miss you all , I am still glad that you will get to have so many adventures. Speaking of adventures, Uncle Bryant or Bailee's Daddy had quite an adventure over the fourth of July , he was in New York City and got to play for the opening of the crown of the Statue of Liberty, it had not been open since that day in infamy when 9-11 happened. Guess what your Great Great Grandfather Anthony Luciano came from Italy and came to New York through Ellis Island where the Statue is. Uncle Toto has a picture of the ship he came on and the manifest that has your great great Grandfather listed. Uncle Bryant loves New York and he played at a Yankee game. Mi mi loves New York too, and went with friends there on her 50th birthday, and Mommy and Daddy Christopher had their honeymoon there. I am attaching a clip from the news in Georgia that shows Bryant and the Marine band preparing for New York. Watch it and look for Uncle Bryant.

Rain Barrel
Playmate come out and play with me
and bring your dollies three climb up my apple tree
shout down my rain barrel
slide down my cellar door
and we'll be jolly friends
forever more!
Oh playmate I cannot play with you
my dolly's got the flu
Boo hoo hoo hoo hoo hoo
ain't got no rain barrel
ain't got no cellar door
but well be jolly friends
forever more!
Hey baby girls Scott and Mimi made a rain barrel, when it rains the water will collect and we can use it later to water all those flower you all love to pick ...that way we save some money, help the environment, and rainwater is the best for plants. (kind of like breast milk hard to engineer) we are painting it today and will post a picture, Scott has it kind of looking like a still, I thought he should paint it to look like a whiskey barrel and paint Jack Daniels on it. I think I will add a survey to this post cause Scott says he has never heard the above song...please tell me Holly I taught it to you or I will fail like I left something out of your childhood . Of course we never did have a rain barrel, nor did have an apple tree, and no place where we had a cellar never mind a cellar door...you had some dolls and the flu once I think....Tina how about you?
